Richmond’s Museum
of Jewish History and CultureVersion 1.0

The Beth Ahabah Museum & Archives collects, preserves and exhibits materials which relate to Jewish history and culture - with particular emphasis on Richmond, Virginia - so that Jewish history and culture may be documented, interpreted and passed on to future generations.

It is affiliated with Congregation Beth Ahabah, the successor congregation to Congregation Beth Shalome. Beth Shalome was the sixth Jewish congregation in America, founded in Richmond in 1789.

Located in Richmond’s historic Fan District, the Museum & Archives is open to the public for tours and research from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday, and on other days and times by appointment.
